Sample Educational Material

The following material was derived from an educational pamphlet distributed to grade school students.  It has several pictures and may take a moment to download.

Did You Know?

People dump gallons and gallons
of used motor oil in our street gutters and storm drains each day.

It's icky.
And, it's against the Law.

Everything that enters the gutters flows directly - UNTREATED - to our creeks, the Delta and the Bay.

That's bad for plants, animals, and people too.

Just one gallon of used motor oil can ruin a million gallons of clean water.

Think about it!

What
Can You
Do To Help?

RECYCLING IS EASY!
Just put used oil into a clean plastic
jug and cap it tightly.  Then, take it to
the Certified Oil Collection Center that
is nearest you.

RECYCLING IS FREE!
In fact, many Certified Oil Collection
Centers will buy it from you...

AND...
RECYCLING IS COOL!

Here are 4 good reasons
why you should recycle-
Keeps our water clean
and healthy.
Helps protect our
wildlife.
Keeps our beaches
clean and safe.
Recycled oil can be
used again and again.

For the Certified Oil Collection Center
nearest you, call:
