Keith Barlow - Mr. Funnelhead

Keith plays Mr. Funnelhead. Keith has been involved with a variety of theater venues in the greater Bay Area over the last 10 years. Some of his favorite musical roles have included Percy in DLOC's "Scarlet Pimpernel", Cable in Mountain Play's "South Pacific" and Curly in PLOT's " Oklahoma!". Playing George Bailey in "It's a Wonderful Life" for Contra Costa Christian Theater was a tremendous honor for Keith and is his favorite acting experience to date. Keith recently finished a very successful run of the four actor thriller-comedy, “Accomplice” with Act Now! at the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts. Keith spends his days running the Diablo Light Opera Company (DLOC) as the executive director. He lives in Antioch with his lovely wife Bobbie. |

Kevin Weinert - Darrel / Dr. Freckle

| Kevin Weinert plays Darrel. He graduated from San Jose State with a M.A. in Theatre Arts. He is also a graduate from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK with a major in Christian Education and a minor in drama. His theatre roles include Jesus in Godspell, Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman, Cmdr. Harbison in South Pacific, the telephone man in Barefoot in the Park, and Speed in The Odd Couple. Kevin works for the city of Walnut Creek in the Civic Arts Education Junior Theatre program as a musical/assistant director. Other directing credits include Godspell, Fall to Grace, and several productions of Schoolhouse Rock, Live! Kevin also has an elementary school character education assembly program called Aaron's Staff. He teaches life skills and anti-bullying through fun-filled dramatic storytelling. Len Shaffer - Captain Olak

Len Shaffer play Captain Olak. He has been seen throughout the Bay Area as an actor, singer, piano/keyboard player and songwriter. Favorite roles have included Tony in West Side Story; Vernon in They're Playing Our Song; George in Same Time, Next Year; Curly in Oklahoma; Dad in Cheaper by the Dozen; and Brady in Inherit the Wind. He has worked with the Mountain Play, the Willows Theatre, Playhouse West, and the Calaveras Repertory Theatre, and was in the world premiere musical A Time for Courage, based on Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities, which played at the Regional Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. Len has been featured in the independent films The Last Innocent Summer, The Clock Strikes Twice, and Cult (which was shown at the New York International Film Festival), and has appeared on keyboards and vocals with the rock bands Invazion, OCD and Nine Lives. Len was a member and assistant director of the a cappella doo-wop group The Starry Knights, and he spent nearly two years in the long-running Bay Area musical Are We Almost There? Currently, Len is writing the music and lyrics for an original musical, The Ordinary Me and working on his first CD, Extra-Ordinary. Len has a degree in Radio, Television, Film from the University of Kansas, where he served as the Executive and Musical Director of The Jayhawk Singers, the university's show choir. Nick Jackson - Dr. Freckle/ Filtenstein

Nick Jackson is a born and raised San Franciscan, and has been singing and performing since age 8. She has appeared in several roles at the San Francisco Playhouse and looks forward to working with Ray of Light Theatre again this year. In 2005 She co-founded a new theatre company with Sean Bart - Red Dragon Productions. Red Dragon is a production company for transformative work of any style of medium. It's first production was a musical in San Francisco's Union Square. Mindy has also performed in numerous cabarets and benefits in venues such as The Green Room of the San Francisco War Memorial, The Plush Room, The Purple Onion, and regularly appears Friday nights at The Octavia Lounge on Market St. She has studied privately with ABC & DreamWorks Casting Director Merri Sugarman, Joshua Finkel, and Richard Nickol, the founder of the San Francisco Academy for the Performing Arts. She has also studied at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, The American Conservatory Theatre and Seydways Acting Studios. She is currently continuing her studies with Richard Nickol and the Academy. Matthew O'Connor - Costume Design |
Matthew O'Connor, a local Concord resident, has been designing costume for the Mr. Funnenlhead show for the past 11 years. Matthew created and reconditioned the Funnelhead costumes, Slimer, Filtenstein and many others seen throughout this website.
